Verve Learning

Discover Our Mission

Verve Learning brings 21st-century tools into the classroom and home. Through the innovative use of AI, gaming technology, and social media, we aim to transform how health education is taught and experienced.

Meet The Founder

About Me

Hadley is a health advocate with a long background in public service. She identified a gap in the health education kids were receiving and what was needed. After years working in digital education, public health, and higher ed she took those skills to bear and founded Verve Learning.

My Vision

I am on a quest to bring health education and gaming tech together. In games, failure is a learning opportunity, not a dead end. Players are motivated to try again, build new strategies, and overcome challenges. These skills are practical for real life. Bringing evidence based health education to the classroom and the home is my goal. We seek to make educator’s jobs easier, not more complex.  I am excited to see this vision become a reality.

What Students and Parents Are Saying

“Right now, the conversations are few and far in between, my health class has been canceled at school this year so it is fewer people I’m hearing from.”

— Taylor 13, Middle Village Queens, NY

As a parent raising daughters on my own I think we need to be as transparent and thoughtful as possible. I want them to have tools and trust that they can come to me with questions. I don’t want them to Google.”

— Finesse 35, single mother of 2, Harlem, NY

“We only had one time we talked about sex at school in 5th grade. It was super awkward. We were supposed to have something in 7th grade, but it never happened. Only my religion teacher gave us a book, professionals were supposed to come in and they never told us why that didn’t happen.”

— Sophia 15, St. Petersburg, FL

Gaming Positively Influences Educational Outcomes

Make abstract concepts more tangible: Games can help students understand complex concepts by making them more interactive and visual.

Boost engagement and motivation: Games can help students stay engaged and motivated for longer periods of time if students are the main characters in the game, and their success is rewarded

Improve critical thinking and problem-solving: Games can help students develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Help students with ADHD: One study found that video games can help students with ADHD focus. Chutes and Ladders specifically can help celebrate success and deal with failure.
